Presentation #2: Cyber Security after SolarWinds Orion; Calvin Weeks, EnCE, CEDS, CRISC, CISSP, CISM – Senior Consultant II, Optiv Security
Everyone is aware of the threats to organizations every day and sometimes with real impact to peoples everyday lives. Such as what happened with the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack and causing a run on gas stations in the eastern US and gas prices to go up everywhere. What confidence we had with the security tools we use to protect us is now gone when those security tools allows a major breach to occur. This presentation will focus on the reality of what the SolarWinds Orion compromise means going forward when trust is lost for security tools.
Are non-members and guests welcome at meetings and events?
Yes, we welcome individuals at large from the security community to join us for any of our events. We simply ask that, after experiencing the value of our community at two events, individuals consider joining ISSA for the additional benefits that membership provides.
Why do we have to register to attend meetings and events?
Besides assisting the board with planning logistics for our events, registering for meetings and events, provides you with self-service documentation you can print out to support your CPE credits if you are audited.
